About Artist and Work Process:
Maryam graduated from Punjab University College of Art and Design. She is a Lahore-based artist with good skills in oil painting. Creating images of the natural world. Her work allows her to constantly explore more about human nature and image-making techniques, inviting the viewer to see human nature diversely.
The purpose of her painting is to highlight the inner self of a person. When he/she is isolated in an environment where they can communicate to themselves. Isolation plays a vital role when it comes to human isolation as it enforces their mental ability to think about what’s happening and going around. No one can constrain this feeling as it is connected to human nature. Loneliness is such an asset that will help a person to know more about themselves. As it weren’t a state of being but rather a room where she could retreat to be who she is.
