About The Artist:
Sarfaraz is a Lahore-based artist born and raised in Umerkot in the 1960s. He spent his early years in Mirpur Khas, which gave him the chance to observe the city and desert culture. Sarfaraz is not academically trained as an artist, however, he completed a first-class diploma in Fine Arts from Mashkoor School of Arts, Karachi in 1998.
His paintings have an ethereal effect of showing us passing moments. He uses watercolors to paint distinct human forms and buildings against a hazy and vast sky. His paintings exude a soft aura. As the leading watercolorist of Pakistan, the uniqueness of his paintings stands out in his outclass blending techniques.
