Nifesah Mehru Nisa is an artist based in Lahore. She has completed her bachelors in painting from Punjab University College of Art and Design in 2016-2020. She works with soft pastels and with oil paints.
Suppression and repression have always captivated her. She has been working on their impact in her life and surrounding. She finds them relieving. Her initial works were based on her personal experiences which leaded to impacts of it in our society. Her current works are a mirror of society which is struggling to come out of its shell and empower women. She has exhibited her work at the “International women’s day exhibition 2019 “at Ana Molka art gallery, Lahore. She has displayed her works at “The New Odyssey” (BFA graduates show 2021) at PNCA Islamabad. She has Exhibited her works at a group show “Collective Relevance”, January 2022, at Art scene Gallery, Karachi. Her work “Alpha woman I” was in top ten artists for the asian strength art competition “Be Your Own Hero” (2021) New York City, USA. She has received Honorable Mention at second “Anna Molka Award” (2022) Lahore, Pakistan. She exhibited her work at an online show “Art for Humanity” September 2022, at O Art Space, Lahore, Pakistan. She has participated at the “5th PASA Festival” in Seoul, South Korea (10-2022). Exhibited work in the show “Art and Human Rights, international emerging artists exhibition” at Emergent Art Space, Canada (2023).
