Born in 2000, Fizza Aslam is a Visual Artist based in Lahore, graduated from Kinnaird College for Women University, Lahore with a degree in Miniature painting in 2022. She is an enthusiast of traditional art of Mughal and Persian painting. A keen observer of fine details that miniature art relies on. My works render my interest in nature and how it impacts the intrinsic sense of spirituality in a human being. Fizza’s works have been featured in several group exhibitions including Ejaz Art Gallery (2023), PNCA Islamabad for WWF (2023), Revivers Galleria Art House, Lahore (2023), Art escape gallery, Islamabad (2023), Kinnaird college for women university, Lahore (2022), Full Circle gallery, Karachi (2022), Alhamra art council, Lahore (2021).

Tiniest details of NATURE show the greatness of Allah. While observing it in our surroundings we praise Him only and believe in His oneness and perfection. The word āyah1 (or āyāt for plural) which signify Allah, reflects the existence of Him in the universe. Fizza’s work, the beauty of nature around her is an attempt to admire His greatness and strive for His forgiveness. Fizza’s works render her interest in nature and how it impacts the intrinsic sense of spirituality in a human being. He, the only Creator of flora and fauna has set the universe in a perfect harmony. As Albert Einstein said, “Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better”. Nature, imbued with a spiritual power is a source of connection to the sacred. The visuals in my work illustrate how everything originates and culminates from one point which is the representation of Allah. The concept of four elements of nature; earth, water, air and fire is integrated through every composition, aiming to portray nature’s rhythm, balance and harmony where trees, flowers, leaves exist as an underlying geometry.
