Hedonism, Love’s Descent

Beyond the physical manifestation of every space and text, I believe that they contain an ‘invisible

presence’. My artwork translates this intangible essence and experience of spaces and text in the form of tangible abstract drawings through painting, rather than the usual method of writing, to reveal the complexity of emotions found within. This is my way of interpreting form and space and revealing its sacred geometry, hidden philosophy and inherent meaning.

My artwork is created using the medium of gouache and Indian ink on hot-pressed paper.

Tariq Ali was born in Lahore, Pakistan. Ali has completed his Masters of Visual Arts with distinction from the National College of Arts in 2021. By combining his spatial knowledge and his visual art prowess he creates a distinctive aesthetic.Ali constructs minimal geometric shapes, lines and colors using the traditional and contemporary techniques to create abstract compositions. He has polished his skills and learned traditional geometric techniques.
