Gestalt Intelligence

Zamania Aslamis visual artist based in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her Masters in Fine Arts from University of Punjab College of Art and Design. She is currently teaching as an Assistant Professor at Comsats University, Islamabad, (Lahore Campus) in the Department of Art and Design, since more than a decade now.

Zamania began painting as means of dealing with women empowerment in her surroundings. In her recent body of works sheexplores themes of human anatomy, sexuality and desire. Through her works she investigates and experiments with notions of abstraction and surrealism. Her bold use of red backgrounds depicts sheer emotions,non-linear narratives, subjugated beneath metaphors of her choice. Her work process is intuitive and spontaneous in nature.
