Shehrbano is a Lahore-based visual artist and designer merging traditional weaving techniques with contemporary materials. With a background in mathematics + art (Smith college) and architecture (Pratt Institute), her practice blends artistic expression with geometric precision – transforming brass, copper and steel into intricate woven forms and functional pieces that blur the boundary between fine art, craft and design. Merging age-old artistry with modern sensibilities, she challenges perceptions of materiality, morphology and cultural continuity. Rooted in her Pakistani heritage and driven by a relentless spirit of experimentation, She reimagines the potential of materials and form.
