Wardah Naeem Bukhari, a multi-disciplinary artist, born in Multan, lives and works in Lahore. She earned her Bachelor’s of Graphic Design from the Multan College of Arts, BahauddinZakariya University, Multan (2010) and completed her Masters in Visual Arts from the National college of Arts, Lahore (2012). She completed her Ph.D. in Art History from University of Punjab, PUCAD, Lahore (2021).      Currently she is serving as faculty member in Graphic Design Department at Lahore College for Women University, Lahore.

Wardah is obsessed with the forms and details of human anatomy as she relates that obsession with the traditional jewelry work from her region, the Southern Punjab. Coming from Multan, a rich multi-craft culture, she has observed the craftsmanship of design and skill. She further evolves this craft into her contemporary practice through assembling the traditional Pattoli Craft with the human anatomy images corresponding to the inside anatomy details drawing. Threads, ropes, and their knots, twists and ties have always inspired her. The inner structure of our body reminds me of the same knots, twists and turns that are present in jewelry making practice.
