Born 1995, Lariab Ahmad has exhibited both nationally and internationally since her graduation from National College of Arts in 2019 with a distinction in BFA, majored in Painting with Printmaking as minor. She occupies the profiles of a visual artist, an entrepreneur, aspiring writer and a curator. Her recent projects include an artist journal titled An Ode to Lost Memories II for Brooklyn Library (USA), group shows titled 12:00 a.m. at Zaaman Art (USA) and The Strangers in an Unfamiliar Land at Nukta Studios (Pakistan). Her work has been reviewed by Nigaah and Artnow as well as her own confessions and poems have been a part of multiple publications; recently in Distancezine curated by Nicole Kiki Jaffa in Los Angles, USA.

With an independent studio practice, selected curatorial projects and operating her initiative LFAA, Lariab is currently the Art Specialist at Zaaman Art.

 

Artist Statement

Lariab through her work explores the various possibilities of reality under chances of multiple centers of conscious that lie under the influx of experiences communicating with one another.

Her surrealistically composed digital prints depict various shades of psychological spaces in transition of emotional changes.
